AdSense is an ad service application run by Google. Website and blog owners can apply for their blogs to be enrolled in this program. Once you are accepted you can place ads on your site both text and image. You earn revenue (money) on either per-click or per-impression.

• Per-click: For 'x' amounts of times an ad is clicked you make 'x' amount of revenue.
• Per-impression: For 'x' amounts of visits your site gets, you make 'x' amount of revenue.

Essentially, all you have to do to receive Google AdSense membership is to apply. You can do this by searching "Google AdSense" via Google.com. All you have to do is fill out a few pieces of information such as you website/blog URL, name, address, etc. After 1-2 days you should receive an e-mail from Google saying that your application was accepted.

Now you have Google AdSense and you may be asking "How can I start making money?"
First off I want to say this is NOT a 'get rich quick scheme!' You have to work for your money and usually the first few months trying to make money using Google AdSense WILL be hard. Eventually it will get easier overtime and you most likely be making a good amount of cash.

Simplest formula for making '$' with websites/blogs:
traffic = '$'
a lot of traffic = a lot of '$'

The main way you can get traffic is to post a lot of unique quality content and to constantly advertise your website/blog.
